FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be Baptist to attend Nebo?

No.   Less than half of our church attenders come from a Baptist background. Nebo is a Bible-based church. We teach, preach, and train ourselves to live out the truth of Scripture in our everyday lives. Our focus is for us all to be followers of Christ and not a specific denomination.

What should I wear?

We dress casually.  We believe that what a person looks like on the outside is not nearly as important as what is on the inside.  At Nebo, you will see blue jeans, khakis, skirts, suits and even shorts.  Dress in a way that you feel comfortable.

What are your services like?

We strive to create an environment for worship where people are encouraged to experience the presence of God.  We use worship songs that point to the power of God and glorify Him through the lyrics.  Our messages are Bible based, creative, and offer practical insights on relevant issues that concern everyone.

What do you have for my children?

Miss Amanda is our Nebo Kids teacher. She is there almost every Sunday and has her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Children are encouraged to worship upstairs for the praise songs.  After the praise songs, children 3rd grade and younger are dismissed to go down for Nebo Kids. Children are welcome to go down with Miss Amanda at any point, and during the second service there will be a lesson for PreK – 3rd grade. We have ministries and activities that cover every age group from birth to 12th grade. We encourage 4th – 12th grade to stay upstairs and worship with us, and they are invited to come back Sunday night for youth group.
